Hi,

The other day i tried to install a new chassis fan, it would'nt work so i left it and shut down.

When i tried to turn the PC back on it would'nt, the only way i could get it to come back on is when i take out the power cable, wait 12 seconds for MB light to go off and then put it back in. This is the only way ive been able to power it on every time now

So when i got it back on i was greeted by a screen that says "hard disk not detected" but when i go into bios and boot settings i can pick the drive out and windows starts fine. But every time i shut down and try to power on i go through the same procedure.

What should i do

My specs

i5 2500k
p8p67 mobo
1tb WD caviar black HD
GTX570
Windows 7 premium

Thanks for any help and sorry if in wrong section

Hi
Check your mobo settings to make sure that your HDD is your primary boot option, If that does not work take out your mobo battery for about an hour and unplug it from the wall as well.

Also unplug your HDD cables and from the Mobo as well and put them back in, you may knocked a cable while installing that extra fan.

Good Luck
